ACFE Recognizes Fraud Fighters and Whistleblowers at Global Conference
The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) recently held its Global Fraud Conference in Boston, spotlighting individuals who have made significant contributions to exposing financial fraud worldwide. The event featured sessions on the latest fraud detection technologies, including deepfakes and artificial intelligence. Among the honorees was Dato' Seri Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi, who received the 2026 Cressey Award for her lifetime achievements in fraud prevention as Malaysia's Auditor General. Her initiatives, such as the 'Follow the Public Money' approach and the Auditor General's Dashboard, have enhanced public transparency and accountability in Malaysia. Noelle Webb, a whistleblower who exposed financial misconduct at a pharmaceutical company, received the Sentinel Award. She now advocates for others in similar positions and founded a dog-training organization to support whistleblowers.
