NFIB Endorses Governor Joe Lombardo for Reelection, Citing Veto Record and Right-to-Work Protections
The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) in Nevada has officially endorsed Republican incumbent Governor Joe Lombardo for reelection. This announcement, made by the state’s leading small-business advocacy organization, highlights Lombardo's record as a supporter of independent enterprises. The NFIB praised Governor Lombardo for his strategic vetoes against regulatory burdens and for signing key economic legislation. Specifically, he was credited for Assembly Joint Resolution 8 (AJR 8), which facilitates the creation of specialized business courts; Senate Bill 373 (SB 373), establishing multi-jurisdictional business licensure; and Senate Bill 358 (SB 358), modernizing electronic payment frameworks. The endorsement comes hours after the Retail Association of Nevada (RAN) announced its support for Democratic challenger Attorney General Aaron Ford, indicating a split within the business community regarding the upcoming gubernatorial contest.
