This statement comes days after Kevin Warsh, President Trump's handpicked Fed chair, suggested the possibility of hiking rates to address persistently high inflation. Vance emphasized that President Trump is deeply concerned about interest rates because of their direct impact on the cost of homeownership and borrowing for citizens.
