Bush Airport in Houston Designated as Entry Point for Africa Travelers Amid Ebola Outbreak
Houston's Bush Airport has been designated as one of three U.S. airports authorized to screen passengers entering from certain African countries due to an Ebola outbreak. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Department of Homeland Security's Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will implement enhanced public health screenings at Bush Airport, Dulles International Airport in Virginia, and Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta. This measure applies to all passengers, including U.S. citizens, who have been in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, or South Sudan within the past three weeks. The World Health Organization has declared the Ebola outbreak a public health emergency of international concern.
