Carnival Corporation Chairman Micky Arison's Superyacht Visits Bar Harbor Amid Cruise Ship Restrictions
Micky Arison, the chairman of Carnival Corporation, recently visited Bar Harbor, Maine, aboard his 242-foot superyacht, Sixth Sense. The yacht, valued at $90 million, spent two days anchored off Mount Desert Island before departing for Boothbay Harbor. Arison, whose net worth is estimated at $9.7 billion, has made several visits to Maine in recent years, including stops in Portland and Kennebunk. His visit comes at a time when Carnival's largest cruise ships are barred from Bar Harbor due to a peak-season passenger cap, although these restrictions do not apply to private vessels. Arison, who was recently elected chairman of the NBA Board of Governors, also owns another luxury yacht, Mylin IV, currently docked in Nova Scotia.
