In an interview, Lee highlighted Taiwan's strategic role in global security and trade, noting the island's position as a deterrent against Chinese military aggression. Recent activities have seen Taiwan tracking Chinese military patrols, underscoring the heightened tensions. Lee reiterated Taiwan's commitment to maintaining the status quo, strengthening defenses, and deepening ties with the US and other democracies to prevent Beijing from deciding Taiwan's future by force.
