Tropical Depression Kujira Dissipates Over Luzon, Absorbed by Typhoon Dolphin
Tropical Depression Kujira, also known as Maymay, has dissipated over the mountainous terrain of northern Luzon, Philippines. The system, which was tracking east-southeastward, has been absorbed by the larger circulation of Typhoon Dolphin. The unfavorable environment, characterized by high wind shear and dry air, contributed to the system's inability to maintain its structure. The remnants of Kujira are expected to continue moving northeastward, merging with the westerlies and inflow into Typhoon Dolphin. This marks the final warning issued for Kujira by the Joint Typhoon Warning Center.
