Mary Zelma Self's Passing Marks the End of an Era for Munfordville Community
Mary Zelma Self, a long-time resident of Munfordville, Kentucky, passed away on April 2, 2026, at the age of 92. She was a cherished member of the Munfordville Church of God and was known for her dedication to her family and community. Self was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and quilting, and she was remembered as a wonderful wife, loving mother, and caring grandmother. She is survived by her four children, nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren. The family will hold visitation services on April 9 and 10, 2026, at Brooks Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service officiated by Bro. Ben Benningfield. Burial will take place at the Wilkerson Temple Cemetery.
