Ramboll Appoints New Director for Defence and Polar Sectors Amid Strategic Growth
Ramboll has appointed Darren Carlile as the head of growth and sales for its buildings division, with a specific focus on the defence and polar sectors. Carlile, who has a background as a Royal Engineer in the British Army, joins Ramboll from Aecom, where he led the defence and national security sector for nine years. His role at Aecom involved establishing the company as a leading multidisciplinary engineering services consultancy for the UK Ministry of Defence, the Foreign Office, and US visiting forces in the UK. This appointment comes in the wake of the UK government's strategic defence review and precedes a ten-year defence investment plan, highlighting the increasing strategic importance of these sectors.
