TAFE Queensland Grant Supports Aged Care Workforce Research in Moreton Bay
A research initiative aimed at enhancing the aged care workforce is being spearheaded in Moreton Bay, Australia, following the award of a TAFE Queensland applied research grant. The project is led by Veri Health, a healthcare media and business intelligence platform founded by locals Belinda Boyce and Ellie Bakker. This initiative is part of TAFE Queensland’s Centres of Excellence Applied Research Program, which supports projects that aim to strengthen training and workforce capabilities in key sectors, including aged care. The research focuses on understanding the real-life experiences of working and studying in aged care, exploring what makes the work meaningful and challenging, and identifying factors that support long-term career sustainability. The project is driven by lived experiences and sector insights, with the goal of translating these into evidence-based storytelling and practical learning resources.
