U.S. Air Force Explores AgilePod for Enhanced Bomber Electronic Warfare Capabilities
The U.S. Air Force's Global Strike Command is exploring the use of the AgilePod-26 to enhance electronic warfare capabilities for its Boeing B-52 bombers. This initiative is part of two new industry challenges aimed at integrating federated electronic warfare systems and developing a high-power radio frequency antenna. The AgilePod-26 is expected to improve real-time data sharing and situational awareness, addressing current limitations in the B-52's electronic warfare systems. Additionally, the Air Force is considering the use of thermal electric generators to harness energy from engine exhaust, potentially enhancing system performance and endurance.
