VOC Port's Skill Development Program Achieves 100% Placement Success for Trainees
VOC Port recently celebrated the success of its skill development programs, which are part of the port's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Conducted by the Centre of Excellence in Maritime and Shipbuilding (CEMS), these programs have achieved remarkable results, particularly in technical trades. The latest batches of Welder and CNC Operator trainees have all secured employment with major multinational corporations, marking a 100% placement success rate. This achievement underscores the program's effectiveness in enhancing employment prospects for local youth. During the valedictory function, Susanta Kumar Purohit, Chairperson of VOC Port, distributed certificates to the successful trainees. The program offers seven specialized vocational courses, including Domestic Data Entry Operator and Warehouse Executive, aimed at boosting local employment opportunities.
