Lundberg Family Farms has voluntarily issued a nationwide recall of its Organic Jasmine White Rice due to the presence of foreign material. The recall affects two-pound bags sold at major retailers including Wegmans, Whole Foods, Walmart, and Target. The recall is classified as a class II by the Food and Drug Administration, indicating potential temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences. The recall is limited to a single production run of 4,500 cases, and no illnesses have been reported. Consumers can identify affected bags by the universal product code 073416-040281 and specific lot codes with best by dates of February 1 and 2, 2027. Wegmans is offering refunds for the tainted rice.
