UGREEN has launched its HomeAgent, a standalone smart home hub that integrates a local large language model (LLM) named Uliya. This device is designed to connect to various smart gadgets using Matter, Thread, and Wi-Fi protocols, enabling the execution of routines without relying on cloud-based command processing. A key feature of the HomeAgent is its ability to offer AI functionalities without requiring a subscription, distinguishing it from many cloud-dependent AI hubs. Furthermore, it provides a private cloud solution through its Network Attached Storage (NAS) features.
