Political Candidate Jake Lang Arrested in Minneapolis After Vehicles Drove Toward City Hall Crowd
Political candidate Jake Lang and several other individuals were arrested in Minneapolis, Minnesota, after two vehicles drove onto a sidewalk toward a crowd gathered near Minneapolis City Hall. The incident occurred at approximately 11:50 a.m. when Lang and others arrived in two vehicles. Both vehicles proceeded onto the sidewalk in front of City Hall, where a crowd was present. Police officers directed the vehicles away from the sidewalk and the immediate area. Law enforcement tracked the vehicles after they departed. Minnesota State Patrol officers subsequently stopped one vehicle near Washington Avenue and Interstate 35W, while the second vehicle was stopped in Bloomington. All occupants of both vehicles, including Lang, were arrested on probable cause of riot by the Minneapolis Police Department (MPD).
