NAD Infusion Linked to Fatality Raises Concerns in Longevity Treatments
A 27-year-old woman died following a Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD) infusion at a wellness clinic in New York. The treatment, intended to rejuvenate cells, resulted in a severe reaction leading to her death. The clinic's operator, lacking a medical license in the U.S., was arrested and is under investigation for negligent endangerment and unauthorized practice. NAD, a molecule involved in energy production and DNA repair, has gained interest in anti-aging research.
