Edouard Takes Aim at Texas With Flood Threat
Tropical Storm Edouard is expected to significantly strengthen before reaching the Upper Texas and southwestern Louisiana coasts on Tuesday, bringing heavy rain, strong winds and life-threatening storm surge. Flash flooding could continue into Wednesday, with 3–6 inches of rain expected and locally higher totals near Houston and eastern Texas. Storm surge of 3–5 feet is possible along parts of the coast, while isolated tornadoes and travel disruptions could add to the danger.
