Belize Youth Agriculture Camp Concludes After Week of Hands-On Farm Training
The Cayo Central Youth in Agriculture Summer Camp has concluded at Central Farm, Belize, after a week of hands-on training in farming and food production. The camp aimed to educate young participants about agriculture, covering topics such as crop production, livestock management, and agro-processing. The initiative, led by Cayo Central Area Representative Alex Balona, seeks to inspire the next generation of farmers by instilling an interest in agriculture from a young age. The program also addresses the need for succession in the farming sector as older farmers retire.
