Congresswoman Deborah Ross (NC-02) has announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) will establish a new Community Engagement Office at North Carolina State University’s (NC State) Centennial Campus. This development follows Congresswoman Ross's advocacy for a USPTO presence in the Research Triangle, citing the region's robust innovation ecosystem, which includes institutions producing world-class research, educating future leaders, and fostering numerous startups across various fields. The establishment of this office is a direct outcome of the Unleashing American Innovators Act, legislation championed by Congresswoman Ross and signed into law by President Biden in 2022.
