Muskingum County Center for Seniors Hosts 'Senior Day' at 180th Blue Ribbon Fair
The Muskingum County Center for Seniors recently hosted a 'Senior Day' event at the 180th Muskingum County Blue Ribbon Fair in Zanesville, Ohio. The event utilized the North Stage at The Noon Rotary Pavilion, offering entertainment and activities for seniors. According to Jill Jones, Community Involvement Coordinator for the Center, the fair provided a change of scenery while maintaining the active and varied program typical of their downtown Zanesville location. Seniors aged 60 and better received free admission to the fair on this day. The Center itself is open to people of all ages and offers a diverse range of programs, including cardio drumming, fitness classes, Kenpo Karate, arthritis classes, and Bingo, fostering a strong sense of community and fellowship among its patrons. Jo McMahan, a patron of the Center, highlighted her and her husband's frequent participation in these activities, emphasizing the fun and social benefits.
