Easter Egg Hunt in Long Beach Leads to Discovery of Possible Human Remains
Authorities in Long Beach, California, are investigating the discovery of potential human remains found during an Easter egg hunt on April 5. The Long Beach Police Department responded to a call at DeForest Park and Wetlands, where a small skull was reportedly found by someone participating in the event. The Los Angeles County medical examiner's office has been called to the scene, and a forensic anthropologist team is expected to assist in the investigation. The area, located along the Los Angeles River, is about seven miles north of downtown Long Beach. As of April 6, police remain on the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
