Ohio Governor Mike DeWine Announces $50 Million Federal Talent Search Grant for Student Support

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Ohio Department of Higher Education Chancellor Mike Duffey have announced that Ohio has been awarded a $50 million federal Talent Search Grant. This grant will provide $10 million annually for five years, aiming to support 20,000 low-income and first-generation college students across 130 schools each year. Ohio is the sole new state to receive this grant and stands as the largest award winner among all applicants. The initiative, announced during ODHE's annual Trustees Conference, seeks to help students pursue higher education, apprenticeships, or other training leading to well-paying jobs.
