California Association of Realtors Advocates for Continued Dream For All Funding to Boost Homeownership
The California Association of Realtors (C.A.R.) has expressed support for Governor Gavin Newsom's revised 2026-27 state budget, which maintains funding for the Dream For All program. This initiative, managed by the California Housing Finance Agency (CalHFA), provides down payment assistance to first-time and first-generation homebuyers, aiming to improve housing affordability across diverse communities in California. C.A.R. President Tamara Suminski emphasized the importance of this funding in expanding homeownership opportunities and addressing the state's housing affordability crisis. The association also commended efforts to support homeowners affected by wildfires through mortgage relief programs.
