Elizabeth Crowe, the Chief Innovation and Technology Officer (CITO) for Cleveland, Ohio, is spearheading efforts to modernize the city's technological infrastructure. Since assuming her role in February, Crowe has focused on enhancing the city's tech capabilities, particularly in data analytics, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence (AI). Her initiatives aim to improve government operations and the user experience for both city employees and residents. Crowe's strategy includes transitioning on-premise applications to software-as-a-service models and leveraging AI for business analytics. A significant cyber incident in 2024 prompted the city to prioritize cybersecurity, leading to substantial advancements in this area.
