Israeli Citizens Targeted by Iranian Recruitment and Threatening Messages
Israeli citizens have reported receiving recruitment and intimidation text messages from unknown numbers, allegedly linked to Iranian intelligence. According to the Israel Police, these messages are attempts by Iranian intelligence elements to recruit Israeli citizens both within Israel and abroad. The messages included offers to purchase videos related to the Iran war, which could potentially be used against Israel, and invitations to 'build your future' by contacting Iranian embassies to work with Iranian intelligence. Some messages contained threats of military action, with ominous statements such as 'soon you will see the sun in the night sky.' Additionally, the messages criticized the Israeli government, claiming that citizens are being exploited by a government with no accountability. The police have advised recipients to ignore any links or files attached to these messages and to block the numbers.
