Pact Appoints Nigel Warner as New CEO to Succeed John McVay
The UK producers' association, Pact, has announced the appointment of Nigel Warner as the new CEO, succeeding John McVay, who will step down next year. Warner, currently a UK policy consultant for the Motion Picture Association and special counsel at Lexington, has a rich background in both political and creative sectors. His previous roles include serving as a special adviser to MP Mo Mowlam and Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport Tessa Jowell, as well as director of public affairs at ITV. Warner co-founded Creative Access, a social enterprise aimed at increasing inclusivity in the UK media. He will assume the CEO role on March 2, prior to McVay's departure at the end of March. McVay, who has led Pact for 25 years, expressed confidence in Warner's ability to continue the association's achievements.
