Dr. Kieffer Engages in National Physical Therapy Leadership Activities
Dr. Melissa Kieffer from the CUAA DPT program recently participated in national professional activities with the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) in Arlington, VA. Her involvement included serving as the Item Writer Task Force Chair during the Exam Committees Chair Meeting and participating in the FSBPT Leadership Issues Forum. The discussions at these events focused on various aspects of the physical therapy profession, including examination development, licensure, ethics, the Physical Therapy Compact, continuing competency, practitioner wellness, workforce data, and collaboration between FSBPT and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). These activities underscore the engagement of faculty members in leadership, service, advocacy, regulation, and collaboration within the profession.
