Initiatives like the TreePlotter map, which assesses tree canopy coverage, and the Northside Agricultural Innovation Center, a climate-resilient farming pilot, are examples of proactive measures. However, many municipalities face challenges such as limited funding and expertise, compounded by reduced federal support. Officials emphasize the need for partnerships across public, private, and nonprofit sectors to address these growing climate risks effectively.
