According to the NBC 5 Storm Team, strong rotation was detected within several storm cells, leading to reports of possible tornado touchdowns in Orland Park and Glen Ellyn. A trained weather spotter confirmed a tornado touchdown in Orland Park at approximately 12:50 p.m., though no immediate damage was reported. The storms also brought destructive winds, large hail, and heavy downpours to the region.
