Residents File Class Action Lawsuit Against Markley Lowell Over Noise Pollution
Two residents of Lowell, Massachusetts, have initiated a class action lawsuit against Markley Lowell, a data center facility located in the city's Sacred Heart neighborhood. The lawsuit, filed by the law firm Liddle Sheets P.C., alleges that the data center emits excessive noise, causing property damage through private nuisance and negligence. The plaintiffs, Joseph Delgrosso and Barbara Dyment, claim that the noise from the 350,000-square-foot facility negatively impacts their lives and property values. The lawsuit is one of three noise nuisance suits filed by the firm, which specializes in environmental pollution cases. Markley Lowell, part of the Markley Group, has been operating in Lowell since 2015 and has faced ongoing community opposition due to noise and air quality concerns. The company has stated that it disputes the allegations and is committed to complying with all applicable laws and regulations.
