ABC News Anchor Janai Norman Reportedly Exiting Amid Contract Non-Renewal
ABC News has reportedly decided not to renew the contract of Janai Norman, co-anchor of the weekend edition of Good Morning America. The news was first reported by the Status newsletter, and while ABC News has not officially commented, sources indicate that Norman is expected to appear on air this weekend to bid farewell to viewers. Norman joined ABC News in 2016 and became a co-anchor for the weekend broadcasts in July 2022. In related news, CBS News 24/7 employees have reached a new three-year collective bargaining agreement with CBS/Paramount management following a recent walkout. Additionally, CNN's Jerusalem correspondent Jeremy Diamond and his crew were detained and assaulted by the Israeli military during a West Bank incursion, leading to disciplinary actions against the involved battalion.
