World's Longest Flight Tested by Airbus for Qantas' Project Sunrise
Airbus has conducted a test flight of its A350-1000ULR aircraft, designed for Qantas' Project Sunrise, which aims to establish the world's longest non-stop commercial flight from Sydney to London. The test flight, lasting over 19 hours, was conducted from Toulouse to Melbourne, testing the aircraft's systems and fuel capacity. The plane is equipped with an extra 20,000-liter fuel tank to support the extended flight duration. The scheduled route, set to launch in October 2027, will cover more than 10,000 miles and is expected to redefine long-haul travel.
