Sòphia High Tech Unveils Robotic Arm for Nuclear Fusion Reactor Maintenance
Sòphia High Tech, an Italian aerospace and defense company, has introduced ROMAN, a robotic arm designed for inspection and maintenance inside nuclear fusion reactors. This development is backed by Genenta Science, which is evolving into Saentra Forge, focusing on sectors like aerospace, defense, and biotechnology. ROMAN is engineered to operate in the RFX-mod2 fusion experiment, where it performs tasks such as inspecting and maintaining the reactor's innermost walls. The project showcases Sòphia HT's precision engineering capabilities, extending its expertise from aerospace to nuclear technology.
