Jay Feely Wins GOP Primary for Arizona's CD1; Democratic Race Remains Unresolved
In Arizona's First Congressional District, former NFL kicker Jay Feely has secured the Republican nomination, defeating competitors Joseph Chaplik and John Trobough. Feely, who received 49.4% of the vote, is endorsed by President Trump. The Democratic primary remains too close to call, with Marlene Galan Woods and Amish Shah as the leading contenders. The district, covering Scottsdale and parts of north Phoenix, is a key focus for both parties in the upcoming November elections. The seat is open due to Rep. David Schweikert's unsuccessful gubernatorial bid.
