Rescue Flight Relocates 90 Animals from Texas to Utah Amid Flooding
A rescue operation has transported 90 dogs and cats from Texas to Utah to alleviate overcrowding in Texas animal shelters affected by severe flooding. The animals were flown to Salt Lake City, where they were received by volunteers from Best Friends Animal Society. The initiative, in partnership with Wings of Rescue and Austin Pets Alive!, aims to create space in Texas shelters for animals directly impacted by the flooding. Upon arrival, the animals received medical care and vaccinations, and efforts are underway to find them adoptive or foster homes.
