President Trump Issues New Executive Order on AI Security Amid Anthropic's Project Glasswing Expansion
President Trump has signed a new executive order focused on artificial intelligence (AI) innovation and security. The order directs federal agencies to collaborate with the private sector to modernize and secure AI systems against external threats. It establishes a voluntary system for evaluating AI models for cybersecurity risks before public release. Concurrently, Anthropic announced the expansion of Project Glasswing, a collaborative effort to secure critical software, to include 150 new organizations. This expansion aims to address vulnerabilities in global cybersecurity infrastructure.
