Central America and EU Collaborate on Cybersecurity and Secure Connectivity in Costa Rica
Central American governments and the European Union convened in Costa Rica for a technical exchange visit aimed at strengthening cooperation on cybersecurity and secure connectivity. The meeting, held within the framework of the EU-LAC Digital Alliance, brought together representatives from governments, regional organizations like SICA and COMTELCA, academia, and the private sector. Participants explored Costa Rica's recent technological initiatives, including a 5G Testbed supported by the European Union, which facilitates pilot projects for small and medium-sized enterprises in areas like geophysical monitoring and remote inspection.
