A video shared by @ak.fosters documented Lola's journey from her kennel, where she appeared thin and uncertain, to meeting her foster mom, Ashton. The text in the video indicated that Lola was on a euthanasia list, highlighting the critical need for foster homes in overcrowded shelters. Lola's expression reportedly softened upon seeing Ashton, suggesting a significant moment of connection. She then walked to the car, with her foster mom promising she would never return to the shelter. Lola, still appearing frightened and underweight, is now with her foster family, who will help her recover.
