Moshal Program Expands to Support Disadvantaged Israeli Students in STEM
The Moshal Program, founded by philanthropists Martin Moshal and Yael Lavie, is expanding its efforts to support first-generation university students from disadvantaged backgrounds in Israel. The program provides comprehensive support, including full tuition, living stipends, and career guidance, to students pursuing degrees in fields like engineering, computer science, and medicine. This initiative aims to bridge the educational gap exacerbated by recent conflicts and the COVID-19 pandemic, which have disrupted schooling and created additional challenges for students from Israel's periphery. The program recently expanded at Sami Shimon College in the South, adding 80 students, and plans to extend similar support to the North.
