Study Links Low-Inflammation Diet to Reduced Dementia Risk
A recent study published in JAMA Network Open suggests that a diet low in inflammatory potential may reduce the risk of dementia by up to 29%. The study analyzed the dietary habits of 1,865 older adults over 15 years, finding that those who consumed diets rich in vegetables, tea, and coffee, and low in red meat and refined grains, had a lower risk of developing dementia. This research highlights the potential of dietary choices in influencing brain health, even among individuals with biomarkers indicating a higher risk of Alzheimer's disease.
