Memorial Day Feels Like Thanksgiving in the Northeast
After record-breaking heat earlier this week, the Northeast is heading into a dramatic cooldown that will make Memorial Day weekend feel more like Thanksgiving. Cities from Philadelphia to parts of Pennsylvania could struggle to leave the 40s and 50s, with chilly rain, gusty winds and even frost threats in northern areas. Meteorologists warn of another round of “weather whiplash” as a strong Canadian air mass pushes south. The unusual cold could disrupt holiday travel, outdoor plans, beach trips and even damage sensitive crops and plants across the region.
