Ghirardelli Recalls Beverage Mixes Due to Potential Salmonella Contamination
Ghirardelli Chocolate Co. has initiated a recall of 13 beverage mixes over concerns of potential salmonella contamination. This voluntary recall follows a similar action by California Dairies Inc., which recalled milk powder used in these mixes due to the same contamination risk. The affected products are primarily intended for food-service and institutional customers, though some may have been available to consumers via e-commerce platforms. To date, no illnesses have been reported. Consumers who have purchased the recalled products are advised to contact Ghirardelli for a replacement or refund.
