American Public Works Association Recognized as a Top Nonprofit Employer in 2026
The American Public Works Association (APWA) has been named one of the 2026 Best Nonprofits to Work For by The NonProfit Times. This is the first time APWA has received this recognition, ranking 11th among medium-sized nonprofits and 23rd overall. The award is based on a comprehensive evaluation of workplace policies and an employee survey assessing the overall workplace experience. APWA's CEO, Scott D. Grayson, attributes this achievement to the dedication and innovative spirit of the staff and the strong partnership with the APWA Board of Directors and its 30,000 members. The survey, managed by Workforce Research, included questions on employee experience, communication, diversity, and work-life balance.
