Church World Service and Clinton Global Initiative Partner to Empower Refugee Women Leaders
Church World Service (CWS) has announced a new partnership with the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) to amplify the leadership of refugee women in addressing the global displacement crisis. This collaboration, titled 'Collective Action for Women Refugee-Led Organizations,' aims to provide targeted investments, expanded opportunities, resources, and increased network access for refugee women leaders. Rick Santos, President and CEO of CWS, emphasized that refugee women are already at the forefront of responding to the crisis and that their leadership needs to be recognized, trusted, and resourced. The initiative seeks to create a more inclusive, effective, and equitable humanitarian response by empowering these women, who are often experts in their own contexts and communities. CWS, a global humanitarian organization with 80 years of experience, is committed to supporting communities in shaping their futures and responding to disaster, displacement, hunger, and poverty.
