FHI 360 Expands Global Health Security Efforts in the Philippines
FHI 360, a nonprofit organization focused on health and development, is enhancing its global health security initiatives in the Philippines through the EpiC project. This project, funded by the U.S. Department of State, aims to strengthen the country's capacity to prevent, detect, and respond to public health emergencies, including pandemics. The Surveillance Support Officer role is pivotal in implementing the EpiC project's activities, providing technical and operational assistance to regional and local epidemiology and surveillance units. The officer will support outbreak verification, field investigations, and the strengthening of subnational readiness systems. The project aligns with national priorities and strategies, such as the National Action Plan for Health Security and the National Laboratory Strategic Plan.
