Georgia Army Unit Offers 'Grand Theft Auto VI' Pass for Reenlistment Incentive
Soldiers in a combat engineer unit at Fort Stewart, Georgia, are being offered a four-day pass to play the new 'Grand Theft Auto VI' game upon its release, provided they reenlist for additional years of service. This incentive, confirmed by Army officials, is being extended by the commander of the 9th Brigade Engineer Battalion. The memo, signed by Lt. Col. Ryan Hodgson, specifies that soldiers who reenlist between August 1 and November 14, 2026, will receive this special pass, timed to coincide with the game's official release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox. As of Monday, 20 out of 130 eligible soldiers in the battalion have accepted the offer, committing to an additional two to six years of service. The reenlistment option is available to the entire engineer battalion, encompassing various roles including engineering, signal intelligence, human resources, and medical specialties.
