Illinois Family's Black Lab Dies After Being Left in Hot Doggy Daycare Van
A family in Illinois is grieving the loss of their six-year-old black Lab, Miller, who died after allegedly being left in a hot van for hours by a doggy daycare. According to Steve Serota, Miller was picked up by Waggle Doggy Daycare in Wheeling, Illinois, around 9 a.m. last week. By 4 p.m. the same day, the family received a call informing them of Miller's death. Serota stated that upon arriving at the kennel, he found Miller still locked in a cage inside the van. The family described Miller as a healthy, beloved member of their family, and his sudden death has left them devastated. The doggy daycare, which markets itself as a 'premier resort for pampered pets,' issued a statement expressing their devastation over the incident and their grief with the family.
