Texarkana College Board of Trustees Adopts 2026-2028 Strategic Plan
The Texarkana College Board of Trustees has officially adopted its 2026-2028 Strategic Plan. This comprehensive plan outlines key priorities for the college, focusing on student success, educational opportunities, campus excellence, and regional impact. The development of this plan was a collaborative effort, incorporating input from students, faculty, staff, and administrators. Recommendations were gathered from various divisions, reviewed by the President's Leadership Team, and then presented to the Board for final selection. Dr. Jason Smith, president of Texarkana College, emphasized that the process integrated ideas from across the college community with the Board's vision for the future. The plan is structured around five core areas: Opportunity, Excellence, Success, TC for All, and Community. It aims to guide the college's direction over the next two years, ensuring a clear focus on its students and the broader region it serves.
