Hidden Genius Project Celebrates Oakland Students' Completion of Tech Immersion Program
The Hidden Genius Project recently celebrated 75 Black male youth in Oakland who completed its intensive 15-month, 800-hour immersion program. This program focuses on training and mentoring participants in computer science, technology, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and leadership. One of the students, high school junior Robert Love II, showcased a video game he created called 'Ninja Moves.' Love expressed that the program not only taught him coding skills but also significantly boosted his confidence in pursuing a career in the tech industry. The celebration, held at Lodestar: A Lighthouse Community Public School, featured students demonstrating their projects and receiving awards alongside their families and community members. The program is free for participating students and their families.
