City of Victoria's 'Town Talk' Podcast Receives National Award
The City of Victoria Communications & Public Affairs department has earned an Award of Excellence from the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) for its podcast, 'Town Talk.' This marks the podcast's first national recognition, following multiple state awards in the two years since its current format launched. 'Town Talk' features candid conversations with local leaders, providing informative updates on current events and projects. The City's award submission highlighted the podcast's role in sharing information about emergency preparedness and critical services, including a special episode on the 2025 boil-water notices and improvements to the City's water system. Communications Director Ashley Strevel stated that 'Town Talk' was created to meet residents' desire for frank, honest, and transparent communication.
